LEGAL OFFICER

MMDC - MINESITE

  • Conduct legal research on laws, rules and regulations affecting the operations of the company.
  • Prepare draft contracts for all situations affecting the company as reference materials in case of real need.
  • Prepare execution copies of all contracts involving the company.
  • Review all cases involving the company, study suitable courses of actions, or defenses. 
  • Prepare pleadings for all cases involving the company.
  • File all pleading/position papers of all cases.
  • Assist in contract negotiation.
  • Ensure compliance by the company of all laws, rules and regulations.
  • Represent the company in legal hearings/meetings, whenever necessary.
  • Perform other duties/functions that may be delegated from time to time. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in Law
  • Must be board passer
  • Atleast 2 to 3 years of working experience in a reputable law firm or as in house counsel handling corporate practice and some litigation.
  • Member of the Philippine Bar.
  • Exposure in the areas of corporate governance, legal and general compliance.
  • Able to work in fast-paced and/or heavy volume environment
  • Willing to be assigned in the Minesite

 

GIS SPECIALIST
MMDC-MAKATI OFFICE

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide maps for the technical team and procedure file input as necessary.
  • Manage the preparation and implementation of data recording and reporting.
  • Provide data management and software support when required.
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control for data as reviewer.
  • Prepare training materials/tutorials as well as provide software training.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of Geology/Geodetic Engineering/Geography
  • With 2 years experience or more
  • Knowlegde in Surpac, Mapinfo, AreGIS, Autocad
  • Prepare correspondence and complex reports
  • Willing to travel occassionaly 

ACCOUNTING MANAGER

MMDC - MAKATI OFFICE

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shall be responsible in overseeing the operations of the Accounting Department in order to achieve the department’s goals and objectives.  Such goals and objectives includes the production of periodic financial reports; maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records; and comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the Company’s reported financial statements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of BS in Accountancy
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 5-8 years of extensive experience in preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analysis.
  • Experience in the preparation of financial schedules and filings including some disclosures.
  • General knowledge of GAAP, SEC and Taxation reporting requirements for investments and other financial instruments.
  • Experience in building complex financial models to evaluate various financial plans.
  • Knowledge of investment portfolio strategy, banking and financial instruments.

 

ACCOUNTANT (TAX SUPERVISOR)
MMDC - MAKATI OFFICE

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tax Supervisor is responsible for checking various required reports and monthly reconciliation of accounts assigned to Taxes group/team.  He/she oversees the timely and proper filing of tax returns and attachments as required and conducts full review of other compliance reports needed by BIR and/or other regulatory agencies.

  • Process Improvement and Initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in preparing different tax filing, and audit.
  • Knowledgeable in tax rules and regulations, and general accounting
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

 

ASSOCIATE LEGAL COUNSEL
MMDC – MAKATI OFFICE

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft and/or review contracts, agreements and other legal documents of the Company, its subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Render legal opinions on the business of the Company, its subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Assist in corporate secretarial matters, drafting and review of minutes of the meeting, board resolution, secretary’s certificate etc. Assist in corporate housekeeping matter and ensure that the necessary filings are in good order.
  • Prepare reports and other requirements a needed.
  • Represent the Company in negotiations and litigation.
  • Assist the General Counsel and/or Corporate Secretary of the Company.
  • Perform other tasks and duties assigned by the General Counsel from time to time.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Law or equivalent.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of working experience in a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel handling corporate practice and some litigation.
  • Member of the Philippine Bar.

MINE PLANNING ENGINEER
MMDC MINE SITE - SURIGAO DEL SUR SITE

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and develop short and long term mine production plans and equipment schedules.
  • Track mine performance against mine plans
  • Develop systems/programs to improve and systematize mine planning procedures and mine designs.
  • Update the long-term plans and schedules in line with the mines’ approved strategy and options.
  • Develop the budget and target schedules for the mine and expenditures budget for the section.
  • Compile reports and presentations showing the potential around known deposits.
  • Prepare inputs for the planning process.
  • Pit and waste rock designs and mine optimization.
  • Monitoring the mining production team's adherence to the mine perimeters and resource allocation.
  • Compile reports on a regular basis in line with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Assist the Resident Manager in developing the junior staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam), Mining Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable in mine planning and survey soft wares.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in related field.
  • Exceptional communication and management skills.
  • Strong experience in open pit mine planning, design, scheduling, production, and project management.
  • Surpac, MineSchedule and Gemcom software is a must
  • Strong leadership ability is essential.
  • Technical proficiency to draft clear and concise report is a must.
  • 5 years minimum in technical and operational roles within the mining industry.

 

IT SUPPORT
MMDC MINE SITE - SURIGAO DEL SUR SITE

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Technical Support employee is responsible in the day to day operation of the company’s computer systems, applications and network to ensure IT assets are working efficiently and effectively as required.

  • Installs and configures Local Area Network (LAN) for data, voice and video communications.
  • Installs computer hardware (desktop, printer, scanner, etc.) on designated areas or employee work area.
  • Installs computer software (Windows, OS, MS Office, Antivirus, Back Office Systems, etc.)
  • Tests, diagnose and repairs to ensure IT facility is functioning as required.
  • Repairs computers and peripherals.
  • Reports technical problems and concerns to Technical Support (Supervisor) for appropriate action.
  • Ensures technical problem is solved immediately with agreed service level.
  • Updates antivirus software to ensure data is protected from internal and external computer virus attacks.
  • Conducts regular inventory of IT equipment and provides updated inventory report of computers and peripherals to Technical Support for monitoring and control.
  • Review and account System Access Agreement Form (SAAF) per accountable employee. Reports to IT Manager employees without a duly accomplished SAAF.
  • Conduct regular cleaning of IT equipment such as PC, laptop, printer, scanner, etc.
  • Perform other tasks as maybe assigned from time to time.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in related field.
