Livestock, farm implements benefit families

As one of the vital components of its social development programs, Marcventures Mining and Development Corporation (MMDC) continues to complement existing livelihood initiatives in the community to make them more viable and sustainable.
Among these livelihood support programs is the provision of livestock and fertilizers to help hard-working families maintain and even improve their current sources of income.
In Brgy. Buntalid, Cantilan town, 28 families received farm and livestock supplies worth.
In Brgy. San Juan, in Madrid municipality, eight beneficiaries received hogs and feeds. A total of 23 families, meanwhile, received agricultural supplies and rice fertilizer in Brgy. Panayogon of the same town.
MMDC’s livelihood assistance include training, infrastructure support, economic enterprise provision of equipment and agricultural supplies, as well as technical assistance.
For 2017, MMDC has allocated over P21 million for the development of its host and neighboring communities. Around P7.8 million is earmarked for livelihood component, which includes trainings, enterprise development, and creation of market access for local entrepreneurs.
